Links Update
Posted on February 24, 2006 46 Comments
The world of personal finance blogging has grown exponentially since I first created this blog. Try as I might, I simply can’t keep up with you people! There are now a host of worthy resources and Web sites to visit and learn from in the blogosphere.
That being said, I’ve been horrific about keeping my links section updated. I’m going to try SOON to update that resouces section of my blog. (I’d say this weekend, but I can’t promise anything as my girls are coming to town for a college reunion of sorts.)
If you would like me to place a link to your site on The Budgeting Babe, POST IT AS A COMMENT HERE. I’ll go back and check my e-mails, but even if you’ve sent me something, I may have missed it.
Please note, I have a very specific niche of people I’m trying to help/communicate with, so if your site is overly advanced, such as stock tips and trading information, or full of technical jargon, or loaded with sketchy advertisers, I may not link to it. I don’t want to discourage people from becoming empowered about their personal finances. I try to evaluate each link so it’s most beneficial (by my definition) to my readers. This is still a Web site for financial beginners.
Thanks and have a wonderful weekend!

Hi BB,
We’ve just launched a new social news site called Flogz that focuses exclusively on Personal Finance and Investing news.
At Flogz, users submit stories and vote for which ones should be promoted to the main page, much like Digg.
The power of Flogz grows dramatically with each new user; more users means more stories, more stories means a broader range of sources, and more votes means the best stories rise to the top.
Our focus is the blogging community, and we’ve already released tools like a Flogz bookmarklet, and a “Flog this Post” tool for bloggers.
We’d appreciate a link, and would like to point out that submitting your own posts is allowed on Flogz.
Feel free to email me with any comments or suggestions at support@flogz.com.

Boy did you open up a can of worms!
Well if you need room to add all of those links, you can remove mine to make room {wink}I know you stop by my site on occasion and I appreciate that, a link isn’t necessary if you need room.
Take Care B.Babe

Hello BB, I really enjoy your blog and read it often. I recently started my own blog at http://personalfinancefun.wordpress.com
Thanks from a fellow midwesterner.

I am community member of http://www.debtconsolidation.com/forums/ . I really like the website for many reason, first the whole section is very simple. The community members are very helpful. I think you can help them with the new Personal finance (Version 0.1), http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/softwares/, which will available as free for all. You can join our community, along with helping others we earn money too at http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/forums/community-rewards.html . I think this is the best website on debt related discussions. The members are lawyers, CAs, consolidation companies and all good people. There are companies threatening them which is available at http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/companies-threateningus.html for their open nature and exposing real truth.
If you need more info I can offer more insight for the site as I am enjoying the stay there.

Hi Nicole,
I have a personal finance blog geared towards the gay community. I focus on traditional issues that impact everyone such as planning, budgeting, saving, investing, wise spending, philantropy, and retirement as well as issues that impact the gay community differently — marriage/civil union/domestic partnership, taxes, health care, and survivor benefits.
