Back from Vacation

Hi gang! I’ve been on vacation for the past 9 days in sunny and beautiful California. We stayed in Carmel the first part of the trip and hiked, biked, kayaked, and ran around the Monterey and Big Sur area, then went to Napa for a friend’s wedding during the second part of the trip. I came home feeling refreshed, inspired by the region’s beauty, thankful for my wonderful friends, and a little worn out from all the sunshine, activity, and wine! Here’s a pic — I’m second from the right, in the brown dress.
I have HUNDREDS of photos to process before I post any more. Good thing, too, because this was one expensive trip; I’ll need a hobby to keep me busy and in my apartment before I overspend this month!
While I develop some new material and reflect on the trip, please take a look at last week’s Carnival of Personal Finance, hosted by StupidCents, if you haven’t yet. The Carnival was kind enough to accept my previous post on Women2Drive and featured many worthwhile articles from talented financial bloggers I’ve worked with over the years.
Now it’s back to reality, work, bills, and onto planning for a busy Independence Day weekend.

I love Carmel, it is stunning. I love the natural beauty of Cali.
There was an article on CNN this week about how Cali. is losing its appeal and Americans are now migrating elsewhere.

Since we’re all broke from vaca, we should spend the next girls night making Christina a wedding scrap book!

Seriously, Bren. I am really starting to get anxious about all my expenses this month. In addition to the vaca, I have two more out-of-town stays coming up in July!
I know my hair is in need of new highlights but I am stretching them out TO THE MAX before I go back to the salon.

Allison, that’s fine if less people want to go to Cali; more room for us to enjoy!
