Just read this and I liked it, so I wanted to share:

“The successful women I know in business, academia and elsewhere think of themselves as leaders who happen to be women” not as female executives, female college presidents or female politicians, says Nancy Koehn, a Harvard Business School professor.

Certainly timely and thought-provoking for those of us climbing our career ladders, be they corporate, academic or public.

Actually, when I was raising me kids (your cousins) I always tried to teach them that they had to be the moral leaders of our country’s future. Whether as a Mom or Dad, a working stiff, or President. I have a feeling your dad did the same, because I think you are a leader, completely disregarding gender issues, and it had to come from somewhere. love, Uncle Rick xxoo
