Look Alike

OK, it’s not about budgeting but I have to tell you guys a funny story:

Last night I was out at some random bar in the city and at about 3 a.m. this strange looking guy, who had been blatantly staring at me for a while, approaches. His pick-up line is this:
“Do people always tell you that you look like someone? You look just like someone, but I can’t figure out who.”

Slightly annoyed that this dude didn’t even attempt to be creative, I reply, “Well, not really. Some people say I look like the girl from Little House on the Prairie. I can’t think of the actress’ name right now.”

At which point, this guy says, “YES!! That’s it. You look just like (wait for it…) LAURA INGALLS WILDER!”

He then turns to his friend and says, “Dude, doesn’t she look exactly like Laura Ingalls Wilder from Little House on the Prairie? I mean, the bone structure, it’s incredible!”

His drunk friend replies, “Totally. Laura Ingalls Wilder. Absolutely. Just like her.”

And then they just sort of stare at me, so proud they made this connection.

I was already leaving, so I didn’t bother filling them in on the inherent hilarity of situation. I think I giggled the entire cab ride home.

You can’t buy moments like those.
