Cohabitation

For those of you living with a significant other, like me, shared finances can present a problem. Brian and I split everything 50-50 for the most part, like roomates, but we have made several shared purchases over the years (furniture). We keep separate checkbooks, divide our bills in half, etc. It’s just easiest for us and we never argue over money.
Here is an interesting article from BankRate.com about the legalities of cohabitation:

For those couples in need of more than financial advice (like when my mother disowned me for moving in with a boy), check out this site to deal:

Remind me later to share about a funny story involving cohabitation, my mom and moving boxes…

I am glad you and your man split everything 50-50. I think that is an important part of being a Feminist and also a mature person.
I could never force a man to pay for me. It just doesn’t cohere with my values.
Kudos to you, young lady!
