I'm so sorry about the ring. :-( And the TV/DVD thing was a bummer, too, but these things happen. I'm here in East Texas: record-breaking drought and heat wave. My last electric bill was $308 (and this after hubby added insulation in the roof). I am ready to see August come to a close for many, many reasons. Good luck and keep your chin up, and remember that the pendulum does, eventually, swing back. Now that you have your DVD and TV situation settled, hubby and I always find inspiration when we watch the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. "Casablanca" always gives us a lift, too. Good luck! I feel your pain about August. I just told my husband this weekend- I feel like this is the month that never ends. What is the deal? I am so sorry about the ring–that is terrible.

Plus it was a gift, so even if I replace it, it's just not the same :( Yeah, the ring was just special, and I too wore it every single day for 2 years. We are good friends now, so it's not like I'm pining for him and that's why I kept it - it was genuinely my favorite necklace (very simple) and I wore it every day. Now I'm debating whether to spring for a replacement, or buy a Chinatown knockoff for $10 rather... I feel your pain :( I lost the Tiffany necklace my ex gave me.
