I know what you mean about trying to find “real people” instead of advertisers and self-promoters. Sometimes I wish I was as big as some of the more well known bloggers, but then I decide I’m fine with only being known by a smaller group of really great people
As for keeping up with all the new bloggers: it is overwhelming! I feel like a jerk when I finally get around to commenting on a post that’s a few weeks (or more!) old. But as long as I’m keeping up, I guess I’m happy!

Thanks for the link love! It can be hard to separate the people from the spambots, and then time consuming to maintain relationships and your blog itself, but definitely worth it in the end.
