It just always tries to set us back and has for years -- now we just know to brace ourselves for it.<br/><br/>One thing that really helps us is that we put vacation money "off-budget". We have a certain amount that we can put towards vacations. When we have enough money for a trip then we can take one. That way it doesn't hit our weekly spending plan. It's a huge help.
